What to expect
Inquire
Once you inquire, we’ll confirm your referral and eligibility. We’ll then be in touch to start the registration process and connect you to a physiotherapist.
Assessment
Your physiotherapist will begin by assessing your child’s movement and function. They will work closely with you to identify priority movement goals.
Scheduled Appointments
Your physiotherapist will determine how often appointments are needed. Services may include wellness supports, group sessions, and mediator-based intervention based on your individual goals.
Improve everyday participation by improving mobility
Our physiotherapy team supports children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them increase their independence and prevent injury. Your physiotherapist can help by providing supports such as orthotics, balance work, coordination techniques, and alignment.
Our physiotherapists can address challenges that may include:
1. Motor skills such as climbing stairs, running, jumping
2. Mobility such as limited range of motion, alignment problems, flat feet, toe walking
