Psychoeducational Assessment
AGES 8–17 | 3–5 SESSIONS | 1–2 HOURS/SESSION | $3,600 (TAX INCLUDED)
Psychoeducational assessments are for children who have been diagnosed with autism. They provide valuable information about your child’s cognitive, academic, and everyday functioning, helping you better understand their strengths and challenges.
After parent interviews and standardized testing, you’ll receive practical recommendations to support your child’s success at school. This might include classroom strategies, accommodations, and learning support. We also provide guidance on additional supports such as counselling, parent strategies, and relevant resources.
Early ASD Diagnostic Assessment
AGES 0–6 | 3-5 SESSIONS | 1–2 HOURS/SESSION | $2,700 (TAX INCLUDED)
If your child is under the age of 6 years and you’re concerned about their development, you can obtain an autism diagnostic assessment at Surrey Place. Our team will conduct a thorough developmental history and an assessment of your child’s play skills, adaptive skills, and autism symptoms. You’ll receive a detailed report that includes diagnosis details, next steps, and service recommendations.
Combined ASD and Psychoeducational Assessment
AGES 7–17 | $4,275 (TAX INCLUDED)
Our combined assessment offers one coordinated process so your family can get answers sooner. It provides a diagnosis of autism when warranted, along with valuable information about your child’s cognitive, academic, and everyday functioning to better understand your child’s strengths and challenges.
The combined assessment is recommended if:
Your child is between the ages of 7 and 17 years old and you are concerned about their social, communication, or behavioural development, but you don’t have an autism diagnosis yet
You are not able to receive a psychoeducational assessment from your child’s school
Our psychology assessment services help ensure your child receives the cognitive support they need in school and beyond. Whether you’re looking for an autism diagnosis or your child has already received one, our specialists help you better understand what your child needs to pursue their possibility.
Who we support
- Children and youth ages 8–17 with autism
- Children ages 0–6 whose caregivers are seeking an autism assessment
Some components of the assessment, such as parent interviews and a feedback session, will be held online. The direct testing of your child will primarily be held in person at our downtown location and may require two or three visits. The testing duration will also be adjusted to your child’s individual needs.
Once the assessment is complete, you’ll receive a detailed report that may be used to access your child’s funding, support, and resources.
